Interco Elimination and Auto Journal (Part 1)
As part of our continued commitment to enhancing the Group Consolidation experience in JustPerform, we are excited to introduce two powerful new features: Interco Elimination and Auto Journal Rules. These additions build upon our robust consolidation capabilities, enabling teams to simplify intercompany eliminations and automate journal entries with greater accuracy and control.
With these enhancements, users can now:
Define and apply interco elimination rules to automatically eliminate inter-group income and expenses.
Set up auto journal rules to automate complex consolidation adjustments based on predefined logic.
Create and execute formula metrices within the Group Consolidation action to enable dynamic calculations.

These rules can be created directly from the Functional Area, under the Rules section. Users can define the details for respective rules, Interco Elimination or Auto Journal —by selecting a Reference Sheet (a consolidation sheet) and an Ownership Structure. Once selected and publish, the system will display option to add Rule and Journal details.
Prerequisites:
The Reference Sheet and Ownership Structures must be created before defining the rule details.
The following screenshot shows the prerequisites for Reference Sheet and Ownership Structures:

To incorporate the rules or Formula metrics in the Consolidation sheet action:
Navigate to the Consolidation Sheet.
Access Sheet Details > Actions > Group Consolidation.
Add matrix and configure it by selecting the Update Method as either Rule or Formula:
Formula: Add input metrics and define custom formulas, similar to default formula metrics.
Rule: Select from the predefined rules where the same reference sheet is used.

Once the matrix and rules are configured, users can Execute the rule from the Group Consolidation Action. The execution status can be monitored in the Event Log.
The currency for Output Metric, used in the configure formula or rule, must be of type Group.
Data Detail Enhancement
This release improves the data detail view, offering clearer financial reporting and better categorization of key figures. Previously, the final column displayed a Measure field representing the resultant value. This has now been replaced with distinct Debit, Credit, and Balance columns, making financial data easier to interpret at a glance.
Additionally, a Total row has been introduced at the top, allowing users to quickly view aggregated values without manually calculating totals from individual cells.
To View the Enhanced Data Details:
Right-click on the required cell.
Select View Data Details from the list.
These enhancements provide a more efficient and structured financial review, helping users track, analyze, and manage data seamlessly.

Enhanced Validations
This release enhances validation rules across fields and sheets, ensuring structured and reliable data entry.
Field Enhancements:
The new validation checks enhance the accuracy and consistency of ID, Name, and Description fields by enforcing constraints, limiting the use of invalid characters, and applying structured formatting rules.
Users will see warning messages when input does not meet criteria, helping them correct the entries.
Sheet Enhancements:
Validation improvements in consolidation sheets prevent unintended changes. Restrictions on deleting essential rules, adding duplicate fields, and configuring currency conversions ensure that data integrity remains intact.
Users will see warning messages when actions conflict with validation rules, helping them correct the entries.
Note: These validation improvements help users in entering mandatory details correctly while preventing errors, across all fields and sheets.
Search Bar in Snippets
A new search bar has been added to the top of the snippets pane, improving accessibility and efficiency when locating specific content. This enhancement ensures seamless navigation across public and private tabs while providing refined search capabilities.

Users can now search for snippets by both name and title, allowing for more precise and efficient content retrieval.
The search operates independently within the current tab, ensuring focused results for either public or private snippets.
When switching between public and private tabs, the search bar clears automatically to provide relevant results specific to the newly selected tab.
This enhancement streamlines the snippet discovery process, improving usability and making content navigation more intuitive.
Enhancement to Metric Format
The metric formatting introduces new formatting options for numeric and date-based metrics while streamlining existing configurations for improved
Handling Custom Decimal Places
The previous formatting values column has been replaced by the Custom Decimal Places. The Custom Decimal Place formatting will be automatically applied to the values entered in this column.

Number Formatting
The existing "Shorten (K/M/B)" has been renamed to "Shorten 1K/1M/1B to improve clarity.
Note: This change is applicable specifically to Number, Integer, and Currency metric types.
Two new formats have been added for numeric metrics:
Accounting Format: Displays numbers with comma separation (e.g., 1,001), and negative numbers will be displayed in round brackets (e.g., (1001))
Currency Format (With Symbol): Displays values with a currency symbol (e.g., $1,001).

Expanded Date Formatting Options
The new date and time formats have been introduced to accommodate various regional preferences and formatting needs.
New date formats: mm/dd/yyyy, dd/mm/yyyy, yyyy/mm/dd
New time format: 5:49:00 PM
New date-time format: 10-Mar-2025 5:49:00 PM

Note: Most of these formats can be used along with the custom decimal place together as well.
Enhancement to Metric Formula
The Metric Formula is now enhanced to support following additional functions:
AND: Checks multiple conditions and returns "TRUE" only if all of them are met. Otherwise, it returns "FALSE."
OR: Checks multiple conditions and returns "TRUE" if at least one of them is met. Otherwise, it returns "FALSE."
MIN: Finds the smallest number in a group of values.
MAX: Finds the largest number in a group of values.
ROUNDUP: Increases a number to the next highest value based on the specified decimal place.
ROUNDDOWN: Decreases a number to the next lowest value based on the specified decimal place.
& / CONCATENATE: Joins pieces of text together into a single string, like combining a first and last name.
FIXED: Rounds a number to a set number of decimal places and formats it as text, either with or without commas.
VALUE: Converts a piece of text into a number, allowing it to be used in calculations.
Control Metric Enhancement
This release introduces the Control Metric feature, allowing users to define validation rules directly within Sheets. These rules help monitor data quality by flagging issues as either Blocking or Warning. Key features include:
Control Type: Set as Blocking or Warning, displaying real-time validation status.
Validation Setup: Define comparer logic (e.g., Equal to, Greater than) with custom messages.
Cross-Sheet Inputs: Select input metrics from other sheets for flexible formula definitions.
Auto Columns: System generates Control Amount, Control Status, and Control Message.
Once configured, Control Metrics can be published and reviewed directly in Sheets for immediate feedback.

Control Set Management
Users can now categorize control metrics using Control Sets defined at the App level. Key features include:
Schema-Based Setup: Control Set is added as a standard property in the Metric Schema.
Global Application: Control Sets apply across all metrics in the same App.
Dropdown Selection: Users assign Control Sets via dropdown from allowed values in Metric Details.
Supports Filtering and Reporting: Enables better organization of validation metrics.
This enhancement standardizes how control metrics are grouped and improves reporting efficiency.
